Remington R-4130

$40.00 Released December, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Battery holds a charge for quite a while.

The Cons:Doesn't shave very well or very closely. Doesn't work at all when plugged in directly--only runs on battery power. Inefficient packaging contains way more plastic and cardboard than is necessary.

The Remington R-4130 is a cordless, rotary electric shaver that features a Flex360 with titanium flex and pivot technology. Unlike its predecessor, the R-3130, the R-4130 can be used either with a cord or without a cord after at least 16 hours of charging.

Once fully charged, the R-4130 can be used cordlessly for approximately 30 minutes before it requires additional charging. In addition, the R-4130 features a charging indicator that displays a green light as the unit charges. The R-4130 also boasts three dual track rotary heads with durable titanium coated blades that utilize Flex360 technology to pivot towards the face in multiple directions, thereby offering a closer, more comfortable shave every single time, not to mention neck pivots, World Wide voltage, and a pop-up trimmer. The Remington R-4130 is priced at $39.99. If purchased from the manufacturer, the R-4130 comes with a power-cord, a cleaning brush, and a 2 year warranty. Replacement screens/cutters (SP-3141) are available from the manufacturer.

The heads break very easily from even the slightest fall.

    heads pop off while shaving.

Very rough on the face--the heads don't contour at all.

If you haven't shaved for a couple of days, it'll rip the hair right out of your face rather than actually shaving.

michael: #remington_r_4130 the shaver has been good up to about a year ago i dropped in on accident and the rotor head poped off. the part that holds the screen will not stay in and i have been having trouble finding a new one. does not shave as close as i exspected from a rimington. the pop up trimmer pulls the hair out rather then cutting it. also if you did not shave for a while will rip the hairs out. i am thinking on getting new one but might go with norelco Dec 10, 13
